The live metrics briefing is for the person who already stares at a stream and still cannot say, in one sentence, what the last hour did. Duty editors, control-room supervisors, venue operations leads, and night chiefs at energy or transit desks book it when a feed is live and the room is split.
Who sits, and what leaves the room
Two people from your side should know the feed well enough to interrupt. One reader from our desk leads. We take a single metric family: stream health with audience share, occupancy with throughput, or load with lag. Mixing three families in one hour produces a board nobody can hang.
Included: a pre-read of the sample you send, the ninety-minute sitting, two annotated A2 boards delivered within three working days, and a one-page after-note in English or Georgian. Excluded: software installation, overnight watching, a second family of numbers, and any promise that the next incident will announce itself.
How the hour is built
You write to the desk with a preferred week and a blunt sentence about last week’s trouble. We ask for forty-eight hours of figures: exports, handwritten logs, even photographs of a monitor if that is what the room has. A slot is confirmed only after those sheets arrive. The sitting happens at Level 7, 43 Pekini Street, Tbilisi 0160, or we come to a Tbilisi control room if the monitors cannot be left.
During the hour the boards are marked in front of you. We circle the minute a bitrate fell, the door-scan burst that did not match headcount, the load bend when a second encoder came up. If the numbers refuse a story, the after-note says so. Polished fiction is not part of the fee.
Preparation and limits
Bring a named contact who can explain the feed without a prepared speech. Tell us which language the after-note should use. We work ordinary working days; we do not take overnight on-call. Feeds from outside Georgia are read from the Pekini Street table, not from a second office.
